The Drift Log
Six summers on deck.
Six summers on deck.
Four winters on snow.
For six summers, I worked the sailboats out of Taiwan — first as crew, learning the wind and the swell, then as captain.
For four winters, I followed the snow to Japan — managing and coaching at a Taiwanese ski outfit based in Japan.
The ocean taught me how to let go.
The mountains taught me how to keep moving.
In 2025, I left both behind.
No new contract.
No return ticket.
Just a backpack, and the current.
AFTERDRIFT began somewhere between the places I left and the places I hadn't found yet.
